A visual approach to development of web services providers/requestors

چکیده
An idea of automatic generation of Web applications from templates has been proposed [1, 2, 3, 4]. A software system called T-Web system has been implemented based on the idea to automatically generate typical Web applications made of various technologies such as CGI [5], Java Servlet [6], JSP [6, 7], and ASP [8], without manual programming. This paper presents an extension of the above mentioned idea in two different areas, generating Web services [9] in addition to Web applications and generating Web applications that behave as Web services requestors. We implement these approaches on T-Web system for JSP/Servlet Web applications [4]. As a result, the T-Web system provides features for Web developers to design and generate Web services in Java language, typical JSP/Servlet Web applications, and JSP/Servlet Web applications behaving as Web services requestors. An airline company’s Web services and a ticket agency Website that interacts with the airline company’s Web services are successfully generated using the T-Web system and illustrated in this paper as examples of Web services and Web applications behaving as Web services requestors, respectively.

Web services access control architecture incorporating trust
Purpose – This paper seeks to investigate how the concept of a trust level is used in the access control policy of a web services provider in conjunction with the attributes of users. Design/methodology/approach – A literature review is presented to provide background to the progressive role that trust plays in access control architectures. The web services access control architecture is define...
متن کاملAuction-Based Pricing Model for Web Service Providers
Applying auctions to Web services selection and invocation calls for examination due to the unique features of Web services, such as interoperable machine-to-machine interactions and reenterable bargaining services. In this paper we propose a formal model for Web services-based auctions. Examining one-sided sealed auction type, we prove mathematically that service requestors’ risk preferences c...
متن کاملBid-Based Approach for Pricing Web Service
We consider a problem of Web service resource allocation in an economic setting. We assume that different requestors have different valuations for services and a deadline for executing a service, after which it is no longer required. We formally show an optimal offline allocation that maximizes the total welfare, denoted as the total benefit of the requestors. We then propose a bidbased approac...
متن کاملSQUID-WS: Semantically Querying the UddI for Discovering Web Services
SQUID-WS is a system utilizing semantic annotation of web services to increase the accuracy of web service discovery. Service providers and requestors specify characteristics of web service operations using a common ontology (OWL ontologies are used), and a matching engine is used to match specifications. An inference engine is used to determine whether service advertisements meet additional co...
متن کاملA Semi-Automatic Approach to Composite Web Services Discovery, Description and Invocation
With the popularity of the Web services technology, more and more software systems’ functionalities become available by being published and registered as Web services. Registered Web services need to be dynamically combined to form “composite services” when individual “simple services” fail to meet service requestors’ complex service needs. In this article, we propose a semi-automatic approach ...
